Texas lawmakers voted to require public schools to display the Ten Commandments in every classroom, advancing a conservative priority before the end of the state legislature’s session next week.

The Texas House passed Senate Bill 10 on Sunday. It now goes back to the Senate for concurrence before advancing to Gov. Greg Abbott, who is expected to sign it into law.
