US stock futures remained flat as investors braced themselves for the release of the Federal Reserve's next policy decision amid a volatile trading week.

Wall Street inched a little higher Wednesday ahead of the Federal Reserve's latest decision on interest rates. Futures for the S&P 500 rose 0.3% before the bell, while futures for the Nasdaq rose 0.4%.

Asian shares mostly rose Tuesday as investors were encouraged by another rally on Wall Street. Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 gained 1.3% to 37,903.43. The Bank of Japan was expected to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged at a monetary policy board meeting due to wrap up Wednesday.

The former vice presidential candidate Walz said he checks Tesla’s share price to give him a “little boost during the day,” nodding to Musk’s company’s more than 40% year-to-date loss.

While Kimball Musk still owns a substantial amount of stock in the company, he sold nearly $30 million last month.
