U.S. consumer confidence continued its sharp 2025 decline as Americans’ views about their financial futures slumped to a 12-year low, driven by rising anxiety over tariffs and inflation.

The Supreme Court refused to hear a case brought by casino mogul Steve Wynn, who had sought to make it easier for plaintiffs to pursue libel complaints. Wynn’s lawsuit against the Associated Press was among the cases denied certiorari today.
