Sixteen counties in New Jersey have been placed under a severe thunderstorm watch Tuesday because of the threat of scattered storms that could become severe with flooding downpours, frequent lightning and damaging wind gusts as strong as 70 mph.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Moose Jaw and much of southern Saskatchewan. Environment and Climate Change Canada says, ‘conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts,

Severe thunderstorms may be on the horizon for a good chunk of B.C.'s Interior, according to Canada's weather forecasting agency. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch Wednesday afternoon for the central Interior, including Prince George, as well as the northeast and southeast regions.
