After three days of intense negotiations, the Trump administration, Ukraine and Russia agreed to a limited ceasefire in which the key details, including what was covered and how it will start, were disputed by the warring sides.

That helps explain why President Donald Trump’s promise to end the war between Russia and Ukraine (within a day, as he used to say) is proving difficult. His officials say they have achieved “epic” results.

The Kremlin suggested it may not honor the terms of a Black Sea ceasefire with Ukraine until Russia is admitted back into the SWIFT international banking system.
