Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday visited the site of the stampede that occurred on January 29 during the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.He also conducted an aerial survey of the Mahakumbh.

The fire was reported in Sector-22 of the Maha Kumbh district near Chatnag Ghat. The devotees are reported safe and evacuated from the site of the fire.

Allahabad MP Ujjwal Raman Singh claimed that he had warned in advance about a possible stampede-like situation in the Maha Kumbh area and accused the administration of diverting all its attention towards serving “VIPs”.
