NYPD could soon perform morning sweeps of Brooklyn school in response to bomb threats
BROOKLYN - The NYPD will perform morning sweeps of a Brooklyn school in response to several bomb threats. According to a letter drafted by the Brooklyn Latin Parents' Association Execution Board to the NYPD, there were three separate building evacuations following bomb threats made to The Brooklyn Latin School between Oct. 21 and Oct. 29.
NYPD officers responded to a 911 call around 7:30 p.m. about two people stabbed at East 69th Street and Avenue M in Bergen Beach. Police found 49-year-old Juan Manuel Galicia and his wife, also 49, both with multiple stab wounds, officials said.
