PHILADELPHIA - The final round of the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships started off in historic fashion. Penn State’s 184-pounder Carter Starocci kicked off the finals and in the process became the first five-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion in both Penn State’s, and more importantly, the sport’s history.

Cael Sanderson's Nittany Lions won their fourth consecutive team championship at nationals and won their 12th title in the last 14 season.
