The Los Angeles Lakers are looking the part of a potential NBA Finals contender. Following the blockbuster trade ahead of the deadline to acquire Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers are without a doubt a team to watch.

After trading Anthony Davis, the team's best interior defender and lob threat in exchange for Luka Doncic, the Lakers tried to acquire Mark Williams from the Charlotte Hornets. Williams failed his Lakers physical, however, and the team decided to rescind the trade, leaving them without a starting center.

Amid all of the trades and signings they made, the Los Angeles Lakers are not done reshaping their roster. With the race for a top-five seed only heating up from here, a team insider says LA could waive two players before season’s end.
