Today, a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car crashed into fans during a parade to celebrate Liverpool’s title victory. The 53 year old from West Derby, in Liverpool, has also been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and dangerous driving offences.
Authorities said a 53-year-old man is believed to be the only suspect and the incident is not being investigated as an act of terrorism.

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has posted on his Instagram story saying his "thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected" by the incident at the team's victory parade. Alongside a photo of the city's Liver Building behind red smoke, Van Dijk added: "Praying for a speedy recovery for everyone who suffered injuries. We are all with you."
