James Woods honors slain director Rob Reiner as "godsend" who saved his career despite their political differences, calling the late director a patriot.

Reiner — known for his iconic films including “A Few Good Men,” “When Harry Met Sally” and “The Princess Bride” — was an outspoken critic of Trump, telling The Guardian last year that a second term for the president could turn the United States into an “autocracy.”

Rob Reiner was found dead in his LA home on December 14. The American film director’s death garnered condolences from several Hollywood celebrities as well as political figures.
