Shane Tamura, the shooter behind the deadly rampage in Midtown Manhattan,​ was apparently targeting NFL offices, NYC Mayor Eric Adams says.

In a press conference, New York City Mayor Eric Adams identified the slain police officer as 36-year-old Didarul Islam, who had been working with the New York City Police Department for three and a half years. One person who was wounded during the shooting remained in critical condition, Adams said.

Mayor Eric Adams says that a gunman who killed four people at a Midtown Manhattan office building was trying to target the headquarters of the NFL but took the wrong elevator.
