When looking across the landscape of college athletics, many fans pick their team because of how close they are geographically to where they are or where they grew up. The beauty of national tournaments like the NCAA Tournament is that schools from all over the country can be included and can shine a light on where they are from.

Drake University is located in Des Moines, Iowa. The private university has just under 3,000 undergraduates and 1,600 graduate students. The Drake University Bulldogs made it to the NCAA Men's Tournament by winning the Missouri Valley Conference on March 9.
