A 24-year-old man died last week after allegedly hitting a Conroe ISD officer's patrol vehicle. FOX 26's Angie Rodriguez spoke to the man's loved ones.

The crash took place on North Loop 336 in Conroe and the person riding the motorcycle died at the scene, officials said.

Officials said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said that an officer inside the patrol vehicle suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital, but was discharged after receiving treatment.

The district called the incident a tragedy and said its police department is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

A tree ordinance variance request and the annexation of a new school from Willis ISD got no traction with Conroe leaders on Thursday.

Conroe ISD had a school board meeting Tuesday afternoon to partly discuss a "Resolution Honoring the Life of Charlie Kirk." Many parents spoke out at the meeting, expressing their concern for the resolution. The Conroe ISD school board passed the resolution shortly after the meeting.
