Connor Joe, a former West Coast Conference Player of the Year at the University of San Diego, has signed a one-year deal with the Padres.

Connor Joe is going home, signing a one-year contract with the San Diego Padres. Joe hit .228 with nine homers and 36 RBIs in 123 games for Pittsburgh last year.

The Padres are closing in on a deal with free agent outfielder/first baseman Connor Joe, according to multiple reports. The team also added Jason Heyward on a one-year deal, sources said.
