Students Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov identified as victims killed in Brown University shooting that wounded nine others over the weekend.

The two Brown University students killed in a mass shooting Saturday were identified as Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov and Ella Cook.

In 2019, Tretta had been shot in the abdomen during a mass shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California. Two students were killed, and she and two others were wounded. She was 15 at the time.

The Sydney and Brown University attacks have one other thing in common: Both quickly become dragged into the politics of a bitter, divided time, as partisans saw each through the prism of their own ideology and bitter disputes.
