Brandin Cooks has signed for his second stint with the Saints, but this time he's in a very different role, a veteran leadership role that he embraces.

Brandin Cooks didn't burn the bridge, so reconstruction wasn't necessary when the unrestricted free agent receiver made his way back to New Orleans after an eight-year space spanning when the former first-round pick departed in 2016, to rejoining the franchise March 21 after agreeing to a two-year contract.

Brandin Cooks is heading back to the franchise that drafted him, as the six-time 1,000-yard receiver has returned to the New Orleans Saints, the team announced. Per ESPN, Cooks will sign a two-year, $13 million deal with the Saints as he returns to New Orleans for the first time since being traded from the Saints to the New England Patriots after the 2016 season.
