The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't land Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, with the star play-caller spurning them and the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday for the Chicago Bears head coaching job.

Presumably, the “setup” that Russini is referring to is the organizational structure, including the general manager position. It’s been widely known that a key factor in Johnson’s decision throughout this process was going to be having alignment with the general manager.

The Jaguars will miss out on Ben Johnson as their next head coach as he is instead heading to a different team.
