Bajaj Finance's partnership with Bharti Airtel has the potential to become huge over the medium term, given there are 20 crore non-overlapping Airtel customers that can be targeted by Bajaj Finance, MOFSL said.

Shares of India's Bajaj Finance rose as much as 6% to an all-time high on Thursday, a day after the non-bank lender reported a quarterly profit surge because of solid loan growth, which analysts said augurs well for its earnings next year.

Results: Bajaj Finance on Wednesday reported an 18 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 4,308 crore for the December quarter.

Net interest income increased by 23 per cent in Q3 FY25 to Rs 9,382 crore from Rs 7,655 crore in the corresponding period last year. Consolidated numbers include the businesses of the shadow lender's two subsidiaries,

Bajaj Finance’s key product segments (until now) have been the secular growth segments. However, its foray into multiple new areas, such as cars, tractors, commercial vehicles, and micro finance, could (in the future) make its growth and credit costs vulnerable to cyclicality, despite having a well-diversified product mix.

During the reported quarter, Bajaj Housing Finance’s net interest income (NII) increased by 25 percent to Rs 806 crore from Rs 645 crore in Q3 FY24.

Bajaj Housing Finance is expected to post stable growth in its earnings for Q3, with a net profit increase of 31% YoY, reaching Rs 574 crore. Analysts predict a 24% YoY rise in net interest income, alongside significant AUM growth of 26% YoY.
