The firm hired by Michigan to search for a football coach to replace Sherrone Moore has contacted representatives for Arizona State's Kenny Dillingham and Missouri’s Eli Drinkwitz, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Just as the Sun Devils were wrapping up practice on Dec. 13, the school received a commitment for 2027 quarterback Weston Nielsen, out of Bastrop High School, 30 miles southeast of Austin, Texas. Nielsen, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, announced his decision on a YouTube channel.
