Alabama and Oklahoma will face each other in the College Football Playoff just a month after they squared off in Tuscaloosa.
The Crimson Tide had 194 more total yards than the Sooners in its home loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 15.
Oklahoma beat Alabama during the regular season by taking advantage of the Crimson Tide’s mistakes, including three turnovers — one an interception returned for a touchdown — and a missed field goal. The Sooners also had a long punt runback that led to a short-field touchdown.
The No. 11 Crimson Tide of Alabama travel to Norman to face the No. 8 Oklahoma Sooners on Friday, December 19, in a first-round college football playoff game. This game offers Alabama a chance to avenge a narrow 23-21 home loss to the Sooners back in November,
The other most recent three-game winning streaks against the Tide were Auburn (six consecutive from 2002-07), LSU (five straight from 2003-07) and Georgia (three straight in 2003-03 and 2007). Alabama had won 10 or more games every season since that 2007 season before last year’s team finished 9-4.
