We stayed at the Brooks hotel on Drury Street. It's right in the heart of the city center. A five minute walk to Grafton street. It's a great value for the location and is quite charming. I don't know about fabrics, but Grafton street is known for the higher end shopping and has most everything.

Ireland is not like America. Daily closures are between 5/6. Butt thestreet is vehicle free, a little pricey in some stores, but sure. Worth the visit
